Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of TrueProxies services. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using TrueProxies, you agree to comply with this policy.
TrueProxies provides proxy infrastructure intended for legitimate business and personal use. The Services are tools — like any tool, they can be used responsibly or irresponsibly. This policy defines the boundaries.
Permitted Uses
TrueProxies may be used for lawful purposes including, but not limited to:
- Web scraping of publicly available data
- SEO monitoring and search engine rank tracking
- Ad verification and compliance monitoring
- Market research and competitive intelligence
- Social media account management (within platform terms)
- Brand protection and counterfeit detection
- Academic and journalistic research
- Quality assurance and application testing
- Price comparison and aggregation of public pricing data
Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use TrueProxies for any of the following activities:
Illegal activities:
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law
- Unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or accounts (hacking)
- Distribution of malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Identity theft, phishing, or fraudulent impersonation
- Financial fraud, including unauthorized transactions or carding
Abuse and harassment:
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam) via any channel
- Harassment, stalking, or threats against any individual
- Distribution of child exploitation material (reported to authorities immediately)
- Doxxing or publishing private personal information without consent
Infrastructure abuse:
- Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or participation in botnets
- Credential stuffing or brute-force attacks against any service
- Circumventing security measures, rate limits, or access controls on systems you are not authorized to access
- Mining cryptocurrency through our proxy infrastructure
Proxy network abuse:
- Reverse engineering, scanning, probing, or indexing TrueProxies infrastructure
- Attempting to derive the source code, architecture, or operational mechanisms of the Services
- Using the Services to build, support, or enrich proxy detection or classification tools
- Reselling or sublicensing proxy access without a written reseller agreement
- Creating multiple accounts to abuse the free trial
Content violations:
- Hosting or distributing copyrighted content without authorization
- Scraping content that is behind paywalls, login walls, or access restrictions in violation of the target site's terms (this is your responsibility to verify)
Your Responsibility
TrueProxies provides infrastructure. We do not monitor, inspect, or log the specific content of your proxy traffic. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with:
- These Terms and this Acceptable Use Policy
- The terms of service of any websites or platforms you access through our proxies
- All applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
"I didn't know it was prohibited" is not a defense for AUP violations.
IP Sourcing Ethics
TrueProxies is committed to ethical proxy infrastructure:
- All residential IPs in our pool are sourced from verified, consenting users
- We do not acquire IPs through malware, botnets, or deceptive browser extensions
- Our infrastructure partners maintain documented consent and opt-out mechanisms
- If you become aware of any IP in our pool that may have been unethically sourced, report it to ethics@trueproxies.com
Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning — For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning
- Temporary suspension — For serious or repeated violations, your account may be temporarily suspended pending investigation
- Immediate termination — For severe violations (illegal activity, DDoS, child exploitation material), your account will be terminated immediately without warning or refund
- Reporting — Where required by law, violations will be reported to relevant authorities
TrueProxies reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation of this policy at our sole discretion.
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of TrueProxies services, report it to:

All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Changes
TrueProxies may update this AUP at any time. Changes become effective when posted on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
