NetNut alternatives for residential proxies

The page at netnut.io is headed “This website has been seized”. It states that the domain has been seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in coordination with the Department of Justice and IRS Criminal Investigation.

A DNS lookup on September 29, 2026 lists ns1.fbi.seized.gov and ns2.fbi.seized.gov as the name servers for netnut.io. KrebsOnSecurity reported the seizure on July 2, 2026, including a statement from NetNut’s parent company, Alarum Technologies.

This page reports only what those sources show. We have not tested NetNut’s proxy gateways and cannot say whether existing NetNut services still work.

Oxylabs suits teams that bought residential proxies under an enterprise agreement and want the same kind of relationship with a new provider. Its pricing page lists 175M+ residential IPs across 195 locations, with continent, country, state, city and ZIP targeting.

Plans are billed monthly per GB: $6.00/GB on Starter (5 GB, $30), $5.00/GB on Basic (20 GB, $100), $4.00/GB on Advanced (125 GB, $500) and $2.50/GB on Corporate (1 TB, $2,500). Each plan lists 24/7 support and a dedicated account manager. Refund requests must be made within 3 calendar days of the first purchase, with no more than 20% of the traffic used on regular plans.

Choose Oxylabs when procurement wants a large vendor, a contract and a named contact. The trade-off is price: its lowest listed rate needs the $2,500 monthly plan.

Bright Data lists 400M+ rotating residential IPs in 195 countries, the largest pool on this page, with country, state, city and ZIP targeting included. It also sells scraper APIs, a browser API and datasets, which matters if your proxies were one part of a collection stack you now need to rebuild.

List prices are $8.00/GB pay-as-you-go, then $7.00, $6.00 and $5.00/GB on monthly plans of $499 (141 GB), $999 (332 GB) and $1,999 (798 GB). On September 29, 2026 the page showed a 50% discount for 3 months with code RESIGB50, which puts pay-as-you-go at $4.00/GB. A 3-month rate is not a long-term budget figure, so compare list prices.

Choose Bright Data when pool size or managed collection is the requirement and the budget covers its list prices.

Decodo, formerly Smartproxy, is the self-service middle ground. Its pricing page lists 115M+ IPs in 195+ locations, with continent, country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting on every plan.

Regular plans run from $3.75/GB on 3 GB ($11.25/month) to $2.75/GB on 100 GB ($275/month). Enterprise plans go from $2.50/GB on 250 GB to $2.00/GB on 1 TB, and pay-as-you-go is $4.00/GB. New users can take a 3-day trial with 100 MB, and regular plans carry a 14-day money-back option that does not apply after the trial.

Choose Decodo when you want to start small, test before paying for a month, and keep ZIP or ASN targeting.

SOAX charges per GB by the country of the exit IP, in three tiers. Its FAQ gives the United States as a tier 1 example and India as tier 2; tier 1 costs the most and tier 3 the least. Its residential proxies page lists 155+ million IPs across 195+ locations.

On the pricing page, tier 1 runs from $5.00/GB on the free Sandbox plan to $3.00/GB on Builder ($200/month), $2.20/GB on Team ($500/month), $1.50/GB on Scale ($1,500/month) and from $0.85/GB on Enterprise ($3,000/month). Tier 3 runs from $2.00/GB down to from $0.35/GB. Plan credits expire 60 days after they are added, SOAX says it has no free trial, and payments are generally non-refundable.

Choose SOAX when most of your traffic exits in tier 2 or tier 3 countries. For traffic that is mostly tier 1, a flat per-GB rate is simpler to budget.

TrueProxies sells Residential IPv4 two ways. Residential IPv4 Unlimited has no traffic cap and is priced by speed: from $4.08/hour at 10 Mbps, with daily, weekly and monthly plans up to 1 Gbps. While you re-plan after a provider change, that keeps the bill fixed even if your traffic estimate turns out wrong.

Traffic packs are billed per GB instead: 1 GB for $1.64, down to $0.60/GB on 5,000 GB, with country, city, region and ASN targeting. Each pack lasts 30 days from activation. The free trial is 1 hour of Residential IPv4 Unlimited at 10 Mbps.

The limits are real. Traffic packs draw on 50M+ residential IPv4 across 150+ countries, against 175M+ to 400M+ for the larger providers here. Unlimited plans use a separate 1.3M+ pool with country targeting only. TrueProxies sells proxy access only, with no scraper APIs or datasets.

Webshare sells rotating residential proxies on self-service plans sized in GB and billed monthly. Its page lists 80M+ residential IPs in 195 countries, with country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting.

The rate falls with plan size: $3.50/GB on 1 GB (shown as 50% off $7.00), $2.75/GB on 10 GB, $2.25/GB on 100 GB, $1.50/GB on 1,000 GB and $1.40/GB on 3,000 GB ($4,200/month). Refunds apply only within 2 days of payment and while rotating residential use is below 0.1 GB.

Choose Webshare when your team handles its own engineering and wants ZIP and ASN targeting without an enterprise contract.
