Market context
Saudi e-commerce is Arabic-first and heavily mobile, priced in SAR, and its three main regions behave differently: Riyadh in the centre, Jeddah and Mecca on the Red Sea coast, and Dammam and Khobar in the Eastern Province each get their own delivery windows, stock levels and promotions. mada, the national debit network, is the default at checkout, next to Apple Pay and the instalment services Tabby and Tamara, and many product pages show a Tabby or Tamara instalment widget directly under the price.
Teams monitor noon and Amazon.sa for general retail, Jarir for electronics, books and office supplies, Haraj for used cars and second-hand goods, Aqar for rentals and property sales, and HungerStation and Jahez for food delivery. Seasonal peaks follow Ramadan, the two Eids, Saudi National Day in September and the November White Friday and Yellow Friday sales, and prices on the big marketplaces change frequently around them.
Google leads search, and Arabic queries return a different mix of Saudi retailers, government portals and ads than English ones. Arab News and Saudi Gazette serve English readers, while Okaz, Al Riyadh and Sabq lead Arabic news. Snapchat is a major ad channel in the kingdom alongside Google, so ad checks usually cover both. The Personal Data Protection Law, issued by Royal Decree M/19 in 2021 and amended in 2023, came into force in September 2023 with compliance required from September 2024, and is supervised by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
Travel pricing in Saudi Arabia is shaped by pilgrimage and a growing events calendar. Hotel rates in Mecca and Medina peak during Ramadan, especially its last ten nights, and in the Hajj season. Pilgrims book Umrah permits, hotels, flights and Haramain High Speed Railway tickets through Nusuk, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah platform launched in 2022. In the capital, Riyadh Season runs from about October to March and lifts hotel and event prices, and Jeddah runs its own season. Saudia, flynas and flyadeal carry most domestic flights, and Almosafer is a widely used local booking site for flights and hotels.

print(response.json())Often. noon, Amazon.sa and Jarir set delivery estimates and stock by city, and grocery and pharmacy apps show different assortments in each region. A check from Riyadh does not show what shoppers in Jeddah or the Eastern Province see, so test product pages and checkout from each region that matters to your campaign.
mada, the national debit network, is the default payment option on most Saudi stores. Apple Pay is widely offered, and Tabby and Tamara split purchases into instalments, often shown on the product page itself. Cash on delivery still exists, often with a fee. Checkout flows seen from Saudi connections show these options in Arabic first, so verify both language versions.
Track Arabic first. Most commercial queries on Google are typed in Arabic, often in Saudi dialect or with brand names transliterated into Arabic script, alongside English product names. Arabic spelling variants, such as with or without hamza and taa marbuta written as haa, can return different results. Local packs and map results also differ between Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, so run city-level checks for retail and services.
