Market context
Uzbekistan's online stores work with three forms of text: Uzbek in Latin script, Uzbek in the older Cyrillic script, and Russian, and many sites offer at least two. Prices are in som (UZS). Domestic Uzcard and Humo cards dominate, usually paid through the Payme or Click apps, and buying on instalments is common through services such as Uzum Nasiya. Delivery times and pickup-point coverage vary between Tashkent and regional cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Namangan.
Uzum Market, launched in 2022, is the largest local marketplace and runs its own delivery network promising one-day delivery across the country, while its sister service Uzum Tezkor delivers restaurant food and groceries. Wildberries and Ozon both sell into Uzbekistan with local sellers and pickup points, so one product often appears on all three with different prices and delivery promises. OLX.uz remains the main classifieds site for cars, flats and jobs, and its flat and car listings are often priced in US dollars rather than som. Yandex Go handles rides, and Telegram channels act as storefronts for many small sellers. Kun.uz, Gazeta.uz and Daryo are leading news sites carrying local advertising.
Google and Yandex are both widely used, and Russian-language queries often surface different sites from Uzbek ones. Uzbek searches in Latin and Cyrillic script can also diverge, since older content and many regional pages still use Cyrillic. The Law on Personal Data (No. ZRU-547 of 2019) has required personal data of Uzbek citizens to be stored on servers inside Uzbekistan since 2021.
Train seats are among the most closely watched prices in Uzbekistan. Afrosiyob high-speed trains link Tashkent with Samarkand, Bukhara and Karshi, and tickets are sold online by Uzbekistan Railways, often well ahead in the spring and autumn tourist seasons. Uzbekistan Airways and newer carriers compete on domestic routes such as Tashkent to Urgench, the gateway to Khiva, and to Nukus, while shared taxis and buses remain the cheapest links between regional cities. Hotel and guesthouse rates in Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva rise with the tourist seasons and are often quoted in US dollars for foreign visitors, while domestic travellers see som prices.

print(response.json())Both. Google leads in Uzbekistan, but Yandex is widely used, especially by people searching in Russian. Results also split by script: Uzbek in Latin letters, Uzbek in Cyrillic and Russian can each return a different set of sites for the same topic. Build keyword lists that cover all three forms and check them on both engines from inside Uzbekistan, so local rankings, map results and ads apply.
Uzum Market is the largest local marketplace and shows instalment prices through Uzum Nasiya beside the full price. Wildberries and Ozon also sell in Uzbekistan with local pickup points, so the same product can be compared across three platforms. OLX.uz covers second-hand goods, cars, flats and jobs. For food and grocery delivery, Uzum Tezkor is the main local option. Checkout pages mostly take Uzcard and Humo cards through Payme or Click.
Mostly. Uzum Market, Wildberries and Ozon are used mainly through their mobile apps, and payments run through the Payme and Click apps, which also handle bills and small in-app services. Telegram is the main messenger, and many restaurants and shops take orders through Telegram bots rather than websites. Check prices in the apps as well as on the web, and test landing pages on phones, where most shoppers browse.
