Residential proxies in Asia
Asia's online markets share scale and little else. Storefronts run in Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and many other languages and scripts, each country prices in its own currency, and much of the traffic is app-first. Southeast Asia buys through Shopee and Lazada, with Tokopedia strong in Indonesia; Japan through Rakuten, Amazon.co.jp and Mercari; South Korea through Coupang and Naver Shopping; India through Flipkart and Amazon.in; and Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka through Daraz.
Search is not uniformly Google: Naver competes for Korean queries, and Yahoo! Japan still carries its own results page and ads. Data-protection rules differ country by country, from Japan's APPI and Korea's PIPA to Singapore's PDPA, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law of 2022, so each country guide names the law that applies there.
