Domestic marketplaces lead Turkish online retail, and TRY prices change often because of high inflation, so price histories need frequent checks rather than monthly ones. Checkout pages are shaped by taksit, the practice of splitting a credit card purchase into monthly instalments: retailers publish instalment tables per bank card programme, such as Bonus, World, Axess and Maximum, and the same product can carry different terms depending on the card. Troy, the domestic card scheme, appears beside Visa and Mastercard. Many stores show both a cash price and an instalment total, and a peşin fiyatına taksit offer means instalments at the cash price.

Trendyol, Hepsiburada and Amazon.com.tr are the main marketplaces, and Akakçe compares prices across them and smaller retailers. Sahibinden is the leading classifieds site for cars and property, while Yemeksepeti and Getir cover food and grocery delivery. Delivery speed and grocery coverage vary between Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and smaller cities, so a check from one city does not describe the whole country.

Google is the dominant search engine, but Yandex still runs a Turkish-language engine at yandex.com.tr, so some teams track both. Turkish characters matter: queries typed with and without ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş and ü can return different results. Hürriyet, Milliyet and Sabah are among the large news publishers carrying display advertising. Personal data falls under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) of 2016, whose cross-border transfer rules were revised in 2024.

Holiday travel sets Turkey's fare calendar. Ramazan Bayramı lasts three days and Kurban Bayramı four, and in several years the government has added bridge days to stretch them into nine-day breaks, which sends domestic flight and intercity coach fares sharply higher. Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and AJet, the low-cost airline rebranded from AnadoluJet in 2024, carry most domestic flights, while coach operators such as Kamil Koç and Metro Turizm cover routes the airlines do not. Coastal hotels in Antalya and in Muğla, the province that includes Bodrum and Marmaris, price for a June to September peak, so rate checks need dates inside and outside that window.
